Shifting of the “moral zeitgeist” as time changes. A lecture held by Richard Dawkins on the changing nature of morality and ethics as history progresses, making liberals in one time period seem like hardened conservatives in another. Dawkins mentions that the progression occurred even with the existence of religion, pointing at the distinct possibility of having a ethical world without the hold of dogmatic religion.
